SLOWLY GETTING BACK TO NORMAL
Hey there, I hope this finds you all well, and that life has returned to at least some sort of normal for you in these continuing strange times. Fortunately live gigs have started to happen again, and I have been playing in solo mode in and around hometown Byron Bay these past couple of months. I have gigs coming up at Byron's favourite music pub The Rails later this month and late in March -- check the SHOWS section for details.
Not being able to get my regular touring band together during the restrictions, I have played a couple of shows in Brisbane with a new line-up, still featuring my mighty guitar & slide player "Sal" Shawsmith. Joining us has been my old Rough Red bandmate Dave "Mash" Parnell on drums, and the most excellent Jodi Murtha on bass. We have a rather special gig coming up in Brisbane on Sunday February 28th, in that we will be playing an old fashioned pub gig at Ballistic Brewery, Salisbury, from 3pm to 6pm. As well as songs from my albums and recent singles, we'll also be playing some selected covers, plus songs by Jodi and Mash. Should be a lot of fun. Again, check the SHOWS section for full details. If you looking for something to do on a lazy Sunday afternoon, come on out to Ballistic Brewery and catch up.
On the new album front, Sal is not far away from coming down to Studio Rue du Temple to record his guitar parts, so I am hopeful we are going to have the new record released mid-year. Cannot wait to get it out there.....Cheers
